What is a purchase order?
A purchase order, or PO, is a document used to place an order with a supplier. It usually includes the products ordered, quantities, prices, supplier information, and purchasing terms.
Can I create purchase orders in Erplain?
Yes. Erplain lets you create purchase orders, add products to order, generate a PDF, and email the document directly from the platform.
Does a purchase order update available stock?
No. Creating a purchase order does not add products to available stock. Quantities are first shown as incoming stock, then become available after receipt.
Can I create a purchase receipt from a purchase order?
Yes. You can create a purchase receipt from a purchase order to record the products actually received. Receipts can be partial or complete.
Can I track purchase orders by status?
Erplain lets you track purchase orders by status: draft, active, delivered or partially delivered.
Can I email a purchase order to a supplier?
Once the purchase order is created, you can generate a PDF and email it directly from Erplain.
Can I duplicate a purchase order?
Yes. Erplain lets you duplicate an existing purchase order to create a similar order faster.
